As a result of Subaru’s national “Share the Love” program of late 2015, Evergreen Subaru of Auburn recently donated $25,000 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Maine’s Auburn-Lewiston Clubhouse. During the event, patrons who bought a new Subaru at Evergreen had an opportunity to choose one of five charities to which Subaru would donate $250. The Boys & Girls Club was named this year’s Hometown Charity by Evergreen.

The award will support the transportation of club members to and from the Clubhouse after school and during the summer and will increase the number of experiential field trips for kids and teens.

“We are so pleased to work through Share the Love with the local Boys & Girls Club to help increase member transportation,” said Evergreen Subaru General Manager Doug Weisz. “We realize that transportation is vital to serving more kids and teens who need the club the most, and we’re fortunate to be able to help local youth in this way.”

Located at 774 Center Street in Auburn, Evergreen Subaru this year celebrates 10 years of proudly serving Lewiston-Auburn, Augusta, Portland and surrounding regions.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Maine operates five locations in Auburn, Portland and South Portland. This clubs currently serves 2,850 registered members, of which nearly 620 come from the Lewiston-Auburn community. For more information, see www.bgcmaine.org.
